Each year, the Annual Giving Program raises approximately nine percent of the Academy’s operating budget. Nine percent ensures the difference between preserving the status quo and innovative growth. Your contribution helps us maintain our academic excellence and improve each year.
In fact, our continued growth and success depend on the generous contributions of the Academy's friends and family. We deeply value and thank our supporters for remaining active contributors to our quality of life and learning.
For more information about how you can join us in our efforts, please contact Ellen Oliver, Director of Annual Giving. For your convenience, you can now make your donations online.
Class Agents
Class Agents represent The Governor's Academy Annual Giving Program and are responsible for asking their classmates to contribute to the Annual Fund on a yearly basis. Most of their work consists of letter writing and phone calls. Class Agents are vital to the success of the Annual Giving Program and to the strength and well-being of the Academy. More volunteers are always needed, please email Ellen Oliver, Director of Annual Giving.
Alumni Council
The heart of the Alumni Council corresponds to Academy's school motto: "Non sibi sed aliis," not for self but for others. The goal of the Alumni Council leadership is to actively involve and engage every alumnus in giving back to their school, through the sponsorship of programs and the promotion of kinship among alumni. The success of this leadership is defined by the extent of alumni participation in Academy affairs. If you are interested in joining the Council, please email Mike Moonves, Associate Director of Alumni and Parent Relations.
Class Secretaries
Class Secretaries serve as a liaison between The Governor's Academy and alumni/ae in their class to generate class notes for the Archon. The primary goal of the Class Secretary is to strengthen class ties and generate positive feelings about their class and the Academy. If you are interested in serving as a Class Secretary, please email Sandy Keyes.
Volunteering at The Governor's Academy
About 300 volunteers give their time to the Academy each year. If you are interested in becoming involved in any of the opportunities listed above, contact the Alumni and Development Office. Volunteering is a great way to meet other people engaged with The Governor's Academy and, in the process, makes a big difference to your alma mater.
